Grapes from best sites around Heiligenstein of the former Steiner Allerheiligenstiftung, a religious foundation dating back to 1171! Able to taste ‘17&’18 side by side. Very Fragrant, more so than ‘17, aromas of stone fruits and spicy notes. On the palate plum, pear and citrus flavors with zesty spice. Medium+ length ending with vigor on an expressive fruit finish, good balance. Nice value. Tasting Sample.

Super bright, citrus explosion! Mineral-forward; super long finish. This is a summer go-to for me. Found this one at a little wine shop in a boutique-wine-shop-wasteland in upstate New York (thanks, universe!). I selected this for a list at a NYC restaurant and trained staff to suggest pairing with spicy food. You can totally drink it alone too. Enjoyed it with pizza tonight.

Juicy aromas of tangerine and pineapple. Dry and crisp on the palate. Bright acidity with deep, stony minerality. Slight fruit flavors of citrus are dominated by big, zesty acidity.
