Schloss Gobelsburg
Gobelsburger Kamptal Grüner Veltliner
2020 Vintage (screw cap) pear / vegetal, some SO2 on the nose (not surprising since it is a 2020) Stoney salinity

Nov 29th, 2021An Austrian “signature” grape, medium lemon color with aromas of stone and tropical fruits, spice and fresh herb notes. On the palate pear, melon and lemon citrus flavors with herb spice. Good balanced, medium crisp finish ending with mineral tones. Nice value, drink now while it still is vibrant!

Oct 28th, 2021Very good...but priced like it’s great. Tons of Grüner out there just as good, for a lot less.

Dec 2nd, 2019Yellow fruit, vegetal, dusty nose. Mild citrus, white stone, mineral. Could use more acidity for my taste.

Nov 16th, 2018Strong acidity, maybe too strong. Pairs well with rich Austrian food. Apple/pear on nose and tongue. Little citrus on the flavor and possibly some secondary fermention gives a hint of bubbles on the tongue. I'm told that's called "perlant" in French. Would buy again, but definitely am interested in exploring veltliners!
