I can see why this wine is so highly rated. Lemon curd, floral and citrus notes in very subtle elegant style make it both unusual and very pleasant. They say the densely planted vines and hand cultivation generates more concentrated fruit vs typical CA spacing. Unfined and unfiltered gives it some nice texture but not overly so. Would never guess this is from the RRV. $45 CT91 made just 130 cases.

If #chardonnay could be always so easy to drink! Clearly, one bottle is not enough! #sonomacounty @scherrer

14.5% ABV Clear straw color. Green apple + pear. Good acidity and minerality. Unfined, and unfiltered w/ extended lees contact (23 months). 130 cases produced, half of normal, on a site requiring hand cultivation in the Vine Hill area of the RRV.

Has the oaky notes but balanced with a bright acidity with soft edges. A perfect Chardonnay for the non-chard drinker.
