Bit too fruity - though interesting to try an Idaho wine

2011 Sawtooth 'Skyline' Red based on Cabernet & Merlot, Snake River Valley, #Idahowine. The perfect cocktail red. Bright, juicy dark cherry, plum and espresso bean and toasted vanilla. Soft and silky. #wine #sommelier @idahowines

Nice ruby pour, medium-bodied, and soft mouthfeel. Way more fruit-forward than the nose suggests with a nice cherry pie finish.

Fruit first, body later. The smokey cherry is upfront, and carries through the first few sips. Mellows and the body comes through. A good red to offer to an “I don’t care what I drink, but impress me,” person. Good every day red. With Bob at Taste on 23rd, Portland, OR.

Bright red cherry takes a back seat to oak on the nose. Vanilla and spice, green pepper. On the palate oak influence comes out in the rounded tannins, almost hollow. Medium to light body. Cherry and blackberry, some strawberry. Easy to drink, lasting finish, but all around not a standout wine.

Nose smells slightly of red fruit. Light bodied. Tastes slightly if red berries in the flavor. Flavor doesn't fall flat, it just is not a strong flavored wine. Quaint.

Velvety smooth red blend. Plummy and cherry with low tannins. Silky mouth feel. My kind of sipping wine.
