Burgenland Zweigelt

The 2012 with deep,plush, blue and black fruit. Smooth mouthfeel, decent finish.

Zweiget = St. Laurent cross with Blaufrankisch.
Fresh strawberries, cranberries and earth.
Moderate tannin and medium plus acid !!

Perfumed sour black cherry, and cherry spice.

Round and ripe with a great mouthfeel. Soft tannins and great acidity.

Good balance of acids and light tannins. Decent amount of red fruit, nothing overly intense. A light easy drinking wine.

Earth and bramble on the nose. Dry with medium tannins. Cherry and blackberry with spice and earth mixed in. Quite good with rich Austrian food.

Bright, ripe, tart cherries, soft tannins, the kind of wine I'd drink boss pours of on the patio by the grill- which is exactly how I drank this. About $15. Crushed it.

Smooth. Smells like wood.

Solid expression of #zweigelt some fruit, but mostly earthy flavors. Big tannins balanced by a great backbone of acidity.
