Lean style of Brunello that sneaks up on you with deceptive power. Blood orange, cherry, pomegranate, mint, vanilla, smoke, tobacco leaf, menthol, balsamic herb. Major acidity and lean, sinewy but rather persistent tannins. Laser-focused and tight in the early going, taking on more flesh with air. This one was way under my radar but it’s a legit Brunello that will age very well.

Aug 10th, 2018Brunello Di Montalcino = my happy place! Bright red fruits and a recognizable elegance & finesse. Consistently a great representation of the Sangiovese grape varietal. Great weekend to all! Cheers🍷
