Santa Margherita introduced Pinot Grigio in 1980, and has become very popular. Dry, pale lemon color with nice stone fruit aromas. On the palate flavors of ripe apple, peach and lemon, with a crisp edge. Medium finish, lively acidity ending clean with mineral notes. Consistent from vintage to vintage.

Two things - I forgot to use my fall wine glass at Thanksgiving so I’m using it now. And I don’t usually like Pinot Grigio because I don’t think it has much flavor but this one is really good. Reminds me of a Riesling, very zesty, has my mouth watering for more! Really enjoying it!

Straw with full fruit and floral aromas. On the palate tropical fruit and apple flavors, fresh and crisp with good balance. Medium finish ending with fresh mineral ending. Nice value. Tasting Sample.

Haha! Luv it when Delictable hasn't seen my wines before. Well, this wasn't $hit. Quite frankly on its 25th bday it was more interesting than several Pernand-Vergelesses.,Pouilly-Fume, high end Macon blancs and a few Chassagne-Montrachets I can think of. No oxidation whatsoever. Aromas were light, to be expected, but the palate remained fresh and true to varietal nature: citrus, crisp green apple, young pear on the palate. In the end I remain rather encouraged about the modest aging potential for a wine whose production numbers can reach in excess of 6,000,000 cases!
