Sanguis
Verve Grenache Blend
Heavy if you’re into this type of profile. A bit idiosyncratic in an interesting way. Dark fruit, medium to light acidity. A rounded mouthfeel and medium- long finish.

May 1st, 2020Light ruby red. Quite savory on the nose with notes of dried herbs, iron, and spices. Complexity is definitely there too with crushed flower petals and dark red currants. Medium tannins (6/10) and dry throughout. Savory palate too with layers of flowers, anise, kirsch cherries and twigs. Medium to medium plus bodied with a long finish. Wish we had another bottle in the cellar. Drink till 2023.

Aug 19th, 2019Note: 2014 Verve! Tried this one young after a long decant and it is delicious. Explosive nose of berries and coffee. Flavors of herbs, maple syrup and black fruits. Manages to be light on its feet.
