Clear dark ruby in the glass. Nose of black cherry and menthol tea. Medium plus acidity and palate clearing, medium plus tannins usher in the palate of strong black tea, tart cherry, and soft leather. Could keep until 2020 but with a good decant or run through the aerator it's drinking well now. Solid example of the appellation. Food is its friend of course.

Wow! This is a hidden gem! Ripe color. Soft from start to finish but not boring. Plum. Tobacco. I would definitely buy again!

Medium garnet color with nose of plum, earth, tobacco (?) and oak. Fairy smooth with a slight acidic bite; a touch jammy with plum and maybe blackberries. On the dry side- does need food to balance. A definite red sauce wine pairing.

Bottle with dinner at Paesano. Dry with a little punch (but a good one!) that turns to a caress when decanted.

Riserva 2015; cannot recall when bought or cost. I drank over 3 days. Better and better. Started at 8.9 ended at 9.1; really great. A very nice wine. Balanced; complex; nuanced.

I wasn’t able to appreciate this Chianti. I will give Chianti a try again in a few years.

Diverse aromas of cherry, sun dried tomatoes, bacon fat, smoke and cedar. Just the right amount of acid with a pleasant finish. Very enjoyable for chicken parm family dinner.

Savory notes on the nose, loam, cooked mushroom, wet forrest floor, and seared beef. Dry on the palate with dried cranberry, tart strawberry, and slight tobacco notes. Moderate plus tannins and acid. Medium alcohol.
