Il Ducale Toscana Red Blend

Ruby with aromas of red berry fruits and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and red plums with vanilla oak notes. Good balance, rustic tannins, medium finish ending with fruit and spice. Good value.

2018 Barbados

Blackberry, plum and cherry with floral notes on the nose. Hits the tongue with blackberry and leather, rolling to the back of the mouth in ripe plum and finishing with cherry, oak and walnut. Nice tannins, deep garnet, rich in flavor and warm in the mouth but not heavy. It’s a warm day in the fall in Tuscany.

Il Ducale 2019, red and robust with steak. The label says it is a blend, but of what varieties it does not say. It does say, en français, “moderne, intense, et fruité; une vin de caractère”. We agree.

Great with a mushroom ravioli Marsala sauce…. They called it super Tuscan, I call it Italian red wine

Good wine, fruity but light taste to it

Solid red blend with a bit of spice and some plummy flavors.

All things considered this is great for $15. Good flavor, modest but appropriate tannins and acid with Chianti- like characteristics but mellowed. Would buy again.
