Ooooh weeee. This is a decadent Cabernet to say the least. Very complex and rich. On the nose there is an earthy hint with almost a Sprite (lemon lime) composition. On the palette it is rich and fruit forward. Black fruit with a hint of cocoa. This is a very unique cab that is extremely well balanced for 15.2%.

Rich nose. Plush palette. Spicy notes which finish slightly tart. I popped and poured this, so I'm hoping for a divine intervention...

Update - infinitely better on day two. Tartness had evaporated, leaving sweet fruits

The nose is a clone of the Farella - delicate wood and mineral driven. The wine presents as a party in your mouth. Tannins are more prominent and bold. Lots of crushed rock, sweet tobacco and cherry compote. Nice acidly buffers the tannic structure. Lay this down for a year or two.

09' Rudius Panek Cabernet. Bold Black currant, black raspberries. Striking red licorice, dark chocolate. Lingering on the back of palate. I'll have to try the 12 & 13. Edit- Give it a good 90 minute decanting👍Better-

Sample from Estate.
First wine we have tried from Rudius Wines and what a treat it was. Super dark ruby red with dark purplish hues. Completely coats the glass, high viscosity. Very tight to start on the nose with slight vegetal nuances and some more of black current, cinnamon, pencil shavings and some purple flowers. As it opened up over day two it grew into deeper dark berries, anise, baking spices and dark cocoa. Furry mouthfeel with notes of cloves, black cherries and some minerality. Moderate tannins (7.5/10) and full bodied. Developed some darker fruits and light savory characteristics. Drier than expected in the long finish. 92 is only a starting point this will only get better with age. Drink from 2017 till 2030.
