Not a peak performance, perhaps my fault for only waiting 3.5 weeks after its trans-Atlantic transport to taste. Couldn't resist though...and still delish.

Dark red and opaque, almost purple. Notes of dark red fruit and leather. Up front flavors of plum and blackberry followed quickly by intense spice and tobacco flavors with a dry short finish. Medium bodied. Quite fresh even with the intensity.

Another great vintage of this terrific wine from a great producer. Straw yellow color. Apricots, peaches, almonds and apples. Viscous with a saline quality. So complex. Looking forward to my next bottle.
