This Pinot is about as far from being Old World as can be imagined. High octane, the alcohol shows through a touch. Red cherries abound. Hedonistic.

Another Costco purchase to try their wine selections. Reasonable for a Russian River Valley wine but not the best from that region. A bit light and thin.

It has a nice cherry flavor with hints of clove and dried leaves. Definitely not too sweet. Rather strong smell, but very light body. Color is translucent. It pairs very well with a nice steak 👌
