Estate Grown Russian River Valley Valdiguié

Bright but smokey. .

Did a tasting at Rochioli a few weeks ago. This was recommended. Never had a Valdiquié before. Think I should have held it longer to give it time to balance out.

Look purple /red, fruit nose, flavors cranberry tart cherry, woody big tannins

Should've opened this at Thanksgiving. Cranberry for days!

Quite a tasty wine. Sour cherry, spice and flowers. Fresh acidity gives the wine a nice lift. Finishes with a blast of pixie stick flavor. #rochioli #valdiguie

Consistent #qpr winner.. Well made.

RRV "gamay" lovely

Last year for this production. Vines are being grafted over for pinot... Nice musky nose, grippy and bright.. Would love to try this again down the road...

I'm fond of this varietal. Great acidity, the fruit was a TOUCH too ripe and went into the prune/stewed fruit profile. Nice mouthfeel and good balance.

Included in a casual blind tasting...everyone enjoyed this wine. My first time tasting this relative of Gamay.
