Gawd I love me a good concrete egg-fermented turn of #Valdiguie (AKA Gros Auxerrois AKA Napa Gamay) and the kitchen sink. This Languedoc-origin charmer has my number, and is done superbly here by Wind Gap:
Strawberry, quince paste and plum skin. A suggestion of Big League Chew, improbably paired by a soupçon of hen-of-the-woods mushroom. The tiniest note of saffron.
Zippy structure, cheerful, crackling petit tannins, and plenty of juicy notes. Fresh and young and bright. Bring out the charcuterie!
