The 2015 Le Sughere di Frassinello is terrific. Scents of sweet pipe tobacco, mint, leather, rose petal and exotic spice give the 2015 much of its immediate allure. Super Tuscan Red (50% Sangioveto, 25% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon) that is aged in both stainless steel tanks and large oak barriques. Aromas and flavors of dark cherry with notes of earth, black peppercorns, tobacco and dark chocolate. A touch of menthol on the long finish. Enormous richness. Dark purple color. Powerful with well integrated beefy tannins.
