Black cherry compote, mid weight. Not bad for a random evening. I've had better vintages than the 2018 though.

Deep Ruby with aromas of ripe black fruit with sweet spice notes, a Sangiovese (50%), Cab and Merlot blend. On the palate cherry and strawberry flavors with hints of cacao, good structure, well balanced. Youthful fine chewy tannins, lingering, ending with concentrated fruits. Good now,

The 2015 Le Sughere di Frassinello is terrific. Scents of sweet pipe tobacco, mint, leather, rose petal and exotic spice give the 2015 much of its immediate allure. Super-ripe and racy on the palate, with silky tannins and gorgeous, supple fruit, the 2015 is hugely appealing. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, April 2018)

Fruity, balanced. First wine I've had from the Maremma. Very nice.

Super Tuscan Red (50% Sangioveto, 25% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon) that is aged in both stainless steel tanks and large oak barriques. Aromas and flavors of dark cherry with notes of earth, black peppercorns, tobacco and dark chocolate. A touch of menthol on the long finish. Enormous richness. Dark purple color. Powerful with well integrated beefy tannins.
