SLD Estate Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon

The fruit had left the building, faint, overpowered by oak. I usual like older Cabs, but I believe this guy is past his prime.

#coravin ripe fresh berry nose is subdued with age but still a lot of ripe fruit and acid. Med tannins wobble along in this #bordeaux blend. Hold or decant a while to open. #sinskey #sld #murraychristmas

Drank on our 1st anniversary night

Jammy and stewed fruit with subtle tannin. Very very enjoyable.

Very nice left bank style blend (primarily cab with some Merlot). Needed the bottle age to soften up tannins, great fruit with some hints of earthy/ piney secondary flavors
