Napa Valley Chardonnay

You know, there are occasional Napa chards that are well balanced, and this is one of them. Lean ish but not really Hahhaha. Got really ripe as it warmed up. I take that back. Meh ish. Oof.

Library purchase from the winery in November. A touch of oxidation provided some caramel notes - nice bottle.

Virtual tasting with Michael Keenan. Beautiful, bright Chardonnay

Grand cru good, with notes of apple pastry and orange blossom building from a floral nose, and note of golden apples, some light baking spice but just feels like liquid gold on the palate, with a surprisingly mineral driven finish. Really really good.

Unremarkable nose. Full, dry, mildly acidic. Minerals, pears, a bit of honey on palate.
