Robert Ampeau & Fils
Volnay-Santenots 1er Cru Pinot Noir
Not a bad little wine at 23 years of age. If you have any, don't wait too long.

May 24th, 2020Strong for a nearly 27 year 1er Cru red Burgundy. Did not decant. Deep red color, although a bit cloudy (stood for about 90 minutes before drinking). Good nose with earth and still a decent amount of dark fruits. Palate of dark cherries, mushroom, and some earth.
