An old fave: concentrated black fruits and spice with an inky finish. Crazy but it worked with Chinese food

Kind of a funky beef jerky bouquet, great fruit and acidity balance on the palate. Tongue tingles long after the sip with notes of cassis and prunes. It's fantastic.

Old favorite and delicious. Dusty red plums, licorice, ferric soil, spiced wood, old tobacco. Italian tannin but approachable, solid length.

Any wine that can shine from a plastic cup deserves extra kudos. Mistook for a Northern nebbiolo with its structure, detail, & balance, but the fruit is pure southern, pomegranate & black currants. Eye opener (esp for 30$ list). Want to re taste in proper stemware. I think 80% nero di trioa 20% montulpiciano

I agree with the pack - concentrated black fruits, inky, earthy, old world barn yard funk. Super dry and structured with a tight finish. Definitely recommend.

Not totally sure about this one yet. Tannins are aggressive, nose is funky and it seemed a bit one-dimensional on first sip but it has a nice core of pretty fresh fruit that is growing on me by sip #4.

So delicious! Earthy, dense black fruits, and a slightly bell peppery pyrazine (sp?) character.
