Casablanca Valley Pinot Noir

I haven't been paying attention to Pinot Noir in a while, but when my wine store guy recommends a Pinot that gets 93 points by James Suckling and costs 17 bucks, I gotta check it out. This one is awesome. Very smooth and well balanced, doesn't have any of that metallic taste Pinots often have. Very nice all around. Rating affirmed 3/24/17. I should add it needs quite a bit of breathing time.

Tastefully done. I was pleasantly surprised.

Пряный, не слишком полный аромат, мускатный орех, кардамон, малина, нотки ирги, земляники, чуть печеные. взвешенный, спокойный, очень молодой. Деликатное присутствие дуба, минеральность. Очень хорошо, с потенциалом.

Musty earth notes on the nose. Palate is dry and earthy as well.

2014 - a little one dimensional, don't expect any floral Burgundian smells but a solid little wine

Easy drinker with cherries and a light finish. Great value at roughly $20.

Smokey delicious Pinot noir, great for price. I drank the 2014

Plum, cranberry, & sour cherries. Medium body with silky and smooth tannins.

Easy drinking, nicely balanced

Thanksgiving 2017. Good, but not great.
