Chianti Classico Sangiovese

Bright, juicy with mostly red cherry on the palate, licorice, eucalyptus, clay, funky sulfur. Organic farming, 25 year old vine. 100% Sangiovese

Cherries, souplesse, milkchocolate, brushwood, roses.

A bit more floral and softer red fruit than many of the better known producers, but lovely cherry, red plum skin, tomato leaf and oregano elements with grippy tannins that hold up but don't dominate. A nice wine for a Tuesday evening.

Spot on Sangiovese, tangy fruit, great texture and long finish. '12 was baller for Reicine.

Classic and pleasing

Lots of bottle variation across the 6 I've had, all from the same retailer. This bottle was just what I'm looking for: clean, red fruited Chianti with good but not bracing acidity. No rusticity, no austerity, no brett. Just delightful Sangiovese shining through.

Quintessential chianti. Exotic spicy austere nose. Lovely sweet fruit combined with layers of earth, tobacco, and leather. Grainy tannins but really lively vein of acidity giving the whole package punch. Great value.
