For some reason I love Ridge Zins with a grilled burger. Difficult to describe the notes in this wine.
On the nose: black pepper, blackberry, anise, menthol, floral, slight blueberry and....cherry cola? On the tongue: blackberry, cherry, baking spice, tobacco on the finish. Grippy tannins at first but mellows out extremely fast. Petite sirah cuts through burger fat nicely. Another nice Zin blend from Ridge.

Dark plums and spice with an almost Amarone feel. Balanced acid and tannins. Warm and soothing. Long Smooth aftertaste.
