Ruby color with aromas of red fruits, floral notes and spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and strawberry with floral, black tea and herb spice. Fine tannins, medium finish ending with fruit, spice and earthy character. Drink now, no aging benefit.

Don’t normally buy “California” AVA wines, but for $7.99 at the grocery store, figured I’d give it a try. Light and simple. Cherry, raspberry, spice, licorice and nice acid. For the price, decent food wine.

Smells like a more expensive pinot with really classic sour cherry coming through. The palate has loads of vanilla and and the fruit moves from sour to a more sweet strawberry flavor. This is a very quaffable wine for the price but don't expect anything you haven't seen before.

Cherry, kind of like cherry cough syrup on the nose. Vanilla extract upfront. Some baking spice notes in there too. Some black licorice on the finish. Tactile on the tongue reminds me of how kiwi can feel “spiked”. Not bad for a $9 bottle.

Milk and dark chocolate, sour cherry, vanilla, a hint of citrus. Lighter than I expected 🤔
