Richard G. Peterson
Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir
Santa Lucia Highlands, Central Coast, California, USA

Medium Ruby color with aromas of red fruits, cedar, floral herbs and mineral spice. On the palate flavors of sweet cherry and strawberry with notes of tea, herbs and pepper spice. Full-bodied, fine savory tannins, long finish ending with fruit, herb and a savory earthy character. Nice!

Oct 14th, 2024Opaque garnet with a bright, clean rim. Dusty cherry, Violet's and sage fill the nose. Medium plus body, medium acidity and velvety tannins fill the palate with being cherry, raspberry, porcini mushrooms and wet earth. The finish lingers with a cherry cola bite.

Black cherry, currant, pomegranate, dill, oak spice. Fairly bright and "Burgundian" on the palate with red fruit, spice, a bit of oak, and even a touch of VA. Long finish.
Really good, well made stuff with old world sensibility.

This is a great Pinot! Clean, smooth fresh without tasting young - I love it!

Dec 20th, 2019Day 17 of our 24 day Amazon cruise. This is the only Pinot Noir I brought with me of the 24 wines I brought. Never tried before. Not a big Pinot fan. This was pleasant with our rack of lamb in the Prego restaurant on the Crystal Serenity.
