Tried this a year ago. This is Maison Louis Jadot's first wine project outside of Burgundy, France, since 1859. The 2013 is their debut release from the Résonance Vineyard in the Yamhill-Carlton wine region, and does not disappoint. Vivid Ruby with a nose of spice accented red fruits. On the palate raspberry and cherry flavors, hints of cinnamon and earthy notes. Tannins are well structured on a long finish ending with some tangy mineral notes. Aging will benefit. Tasted great a year later. Tasting Sample.

Without knowing the price point, we absolutely loved this wine. Black cherries and clean forest floor. Beautiful balance, walks a fine line between lean & rich. Oak is there but already integrated nicely. Beautifully done.

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful! Nose is initially of dark, ripe fruits, with brambly blackberries opening up to crushed black peppercorn, celery salt, thyme, dried rosemary, and subtle floral notes. Very smooth, with ripe red plums and blueberries with hints of sassafras and dark cacao gliding onto the palate, giving way to fresh morels, chicory root, and forest floor of freshly fallen pine needles. Incredible finish, with sexy tannins hitting the mid to back palate and well-integrated acid. Incredibly concentrated for the vintage and definitely age-worthy. One of my favorites from Oregon for 2013. Thanks Jacque Lardiere for retiring in the Willamette Valley!

Jacques Lardiere (great winemaker of Louis Jadot) came by with Youngs Market...both projects where great! This is the perfect middle of great Oregon Pinot on the front end and a smooth, elegant and earthy finish...buying a few bottles!

Elegant but subtle hints of cherry and earthiness on the nose. Flavors of cherries, cranberries and raspberries accented by some touches of minerals and spice. Very Burgundian in style with a long cleansing finish. The first wine by Louis Jadot in the USA.

That could be one of the finest Oregon Pinots I've had. A Jadot family project. First vintage. There is a great animal character and savory notes. It's got more Burgundy in it than you would expect.

From Jadot. The most Burgundian Oregon Pinot Noir that I have had ( in a good way). Ashtonishing and even better in a few years. Perhaps too high a price point though.
