Marcenasco Rocche Barolo Nebbiolo

Leather, smoked sage, fennel, rosemary with bitter orange, tart cherry and tons of spice. Very classic expression of La Morra with a dollop of new oak slapped on top.

Still some grip here, but sippable without food. Beautiful expression of roses, licorice, and a hint of leather. Could age more but you wouldn't regret opening it now. Definitely heat so I would be wary of making this an aperitif

Definitely La Morra with the fleshier fruit and softer structure, licorice, currants and spice.

Pop and pour. In an excellent place. On the nose: blood orange, roses, menthol, glossy red cherry. Still somewhat primary. Good density and acidity; hi-toned red fruit, with some dried fruit and leather inflection. More soft herbs on the softly tannic finish. Yum!

An intense garnet red color greets you, leading to a bouquet with traces of licorice and tobacco.
Full flavored, full-bodied and elegant.
Great for red meats on the grilled, game, white and red meat dishes and aged cheeses.

Toasted blackberries, warm cherries, licorice, tannic, nice structure and complexity, easy balance, and a whole lot of goodness.

Light bodied but full in character. Round, elegant bouche. Lovely round finish. Had the 2011 vintage.

A beautiful Barolo that we decanted for 2 hours before enjoying. Pencil shavings and berries with the right blend of tannins. Celebration wine though. Listed as a lot of money on delectable, we bought in a sale at wine store for 30% off list.
