I cracked this bottle open for the virtual event Drinks at Antonio's house. #drinksatantonios what a blast it was! I learned a lot and enjoyed seeing what everyone else was drinking including some pretty crazy bottles. This 2014 Corino Barolo is a pretty big wine that could do with longer in bottle, good going for a straight Barolo. The ample structure and considerable intensity make this wine what it is. Ruby with aromas of ripe red fruits and hints of floral. The palate brings fruit forward with cherry, plums and hints of fig tastes. Tannins are round, a tad gritty with high acidity noted. The finish is medium, smooth and ends with earthy mineral notes. Very nice.
