Nov 22nd, 2017This wine is so consistent vintage after vintage and has never disappointed. An incredible Cali take on Rhône varietals, this has incredible fruit - raspberry dominates with spice notes on the finish. It’s not as heavy as many Mourvèdre dominated blends. I will buy this wine every year it’s so enjoyable.

2019 vintage. 38% Carignane, 23% Syrah, 18% Grenache, 10% Petite Syrah, 10% Charbono. 1% Mourvèdre. Medium heavy body. Smooooth blast-off and mid-palate with expected and verified spice componentry boosters aboard to clear the stratosphere. Nice now with a bit of airtime but would look to hit in 5-10 years for best results. 4.12.23.

Beautiful Rhône blend. While I’ve had mixed feelings about some other Relic wines (Chardonnay and Pinot) they always make some of the best Rhône style wines in CA. Drinking really nicely right now. Bright and balanced with a memorable finish.
