I've hit the last 4 out of 5 weekly wine committees and it has been a treat every time. This week, @Jeff Meyer hosted and schooled everyone on how good German wines can be!
The entire room thought this was french champagne. Ended up being a German sparkler! Lots of yeast and tart fruit/green apple to it, with a very crisp finish. Extremely balanced. 100% case worthy.

I thought I was just going to do some easy bubbles stretching in preparation for the obvious, but good lord this is some heavy lifting. Massively complex, so fresh, but with the layers and nuance of something vintage from a couple hundred miles to its west. Lemon oil rides the lighting bead until it cracks with a burst of smoked almond, honey biscuit, flint, and white flower.
