Dry Finger Lakes Riesling

2017 Ravine White Springs Vineyard Dry Riesling (Finger Lakes). Nine years old and still seems youthful. Great nose of zesty Granny Smith and slightly unripe Cortland apples and lots of high-toned stony minerality. Palate is concentrated and intense, lots of crisp acid to balance the deep fruit and intense stones. Lipsmackingly delicious. 9.3 (This is a re-post because @Delectable Wine deep-sixed the original)

With mussels last night. Consistently overdelivers for the money. Ages beautifully.
Stellar acidity with green apple, lemon, lime, white peach, and salty stones. No rush.

Yellow fruit. White stone. Dry.

Unripe white peach, key lime, crushed limestone.

White peach, lime zest, limestone.

Yellow fruit, white stone, dry.

Nose has tangerine peel, tangerine slice, cold peach, petrol, lime peel, tart green apple peel and lime zest.

Palate has sliced lime, grapefruit peel, lemon zest, green apple Jolly Rancher candy, dry-crushed slate, under-ripe peach, medium acidity, medium finish. Future bottles should be 2025+

Slightly more weight to the palate than the 2015 vintage tasted alongside.

Bruised yellow fruit, agave, citrus acidity.

One word: petrol 🤤

Over ripe yellow fruit, a bit petrol, citric acidity, smooth finish.
