Fantastic wine!! Great color and nose with intense berry fruits. In the mouth rich flavors and intense fruit- mostly blackberry fruits. Great finish and goes very well with wild boar spaghetti sauce and pasta.

A red fruit driven wine that has some nice acidity and enough tannin in there to want to see it go another 3-5 years. Alcohol is in check too. Happy to consume some Ravens Wood with some seriousness.

2004 Zin that has aged very well. Clear brownish hue with earthy tones. Great legs and smooth medium tannins. Subtle fig and plum jams to taste that makes this wine enjoyable paired with food or by itself. Strong finish with acidity that begs for another glass. Very good wine.

The #anatomyofafieldblend keeps 32 year old Zinfandel fresh and vibrant. Great to drink and I love the deep history it invokes. Bummed @Morgan Twain-Peterson couldn't make it, we had lots of questions.

Throwback for me. As Zin was my go to grape in the 90s, the single vineyard Ravenswood wines were my favorites! I visited in 1999/2000ish and drank from the barrels.

900 cases made, this has a bold blueberry and black pepper nose, mint adds on the palate, a bit more mellow than I remember it, which is great for my older taste. Medium plus body, medium tannins.

The Old Hill vineyard is just something else. This is a full and rich wine that feels almost weightless on the palate, there is no hint of fat or jammyness, just a wonderfully complex wine. Notes of oak, black fruit, spice and earth all come together perfectly and are balanced out against fresh acidity and just enough bottle age to create a beautifully balanced wine.

So deep n rich yet balanced red. Lots of most n I like it. But could of course be more complex.
