Viña Bosconia Gran Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend
What a great bottle of wine. Thank you @Jim Westby for sharing this and for cooking the excellent mushroom chicken to go with it. This had lovely candies orange peel aromatics, medium body and such good length I am almost still tasting it the next day. Showing no signs of fading at 36!!!

Dec 22nd, 2017Paired with Cuban black beans and pork - our typical Christmas Eve dinner. I don’t typically like too much wood notes in wine but with Rioja it works so well. Bright red fruit, cherry, bit of smoke, the wood gave it a rye whiskey feel, endless finish. Brilliant wine and still on the upswing, no rush on this 1981. My last bottle sadly. 1981
