Dark red purple. Inviting nose and medium full, fruit-forward (for a European) palate of blueberry-blackberry compote. Bright medium acidity and medium minus tannins that mostly assert back-palate. Dark and slightly bitter finish (Touriga Nacional showing). Fine example of Portuguese non-Porto red. Ready for hearty entrées like roasted beef or pork. Drink now through 2028.

Blend of 50% Touriga Nacional, 35% Touriga Franca, 10% Tinta Roriz, 4% Tinta Barroca & 1% Alicante Bouschet, aged in used French oak for 14 months, aromas of fresh dark berry flavors with herb, spice and cedar notes. On the palate flavors of blueberry and plum with licorice, cedar, espresso and spicy herbs. Fine ripe tannins, medium finish ending with fruit, cedar, spice and herb character. Nice value!

Beautiful expression of fruit and very true to its birthplace. Another testament to the greatness of the 2015 vintage in the Douro Valley.

Really nice Douro red, but give it 2 hours in bottle or less in decanter to open fully. A solid red core with ruby edges. The nose reveals a nice balance of fruit and minerality, with cherry, plum, tobacco, crushed rocks and a touch floral. The palate shows good balance that the nose hinted to, but if anything the tannins need more integration, great buy at $20 from one of Portugals top wine producers.

Huckleberry flowers?! Fresh, soothingly soft but refreshing, like slathering on a lotion that energizes you which, if you respect your skincare game, surely you have energizing balms to soothe your limbs. So it is with this wine and your mouth. if this doesn't make sense just get a bottle and try it.

Earth driven scents of red fruit. Palate with very well balanced, easy drinking black fruit, and a bit of soil. Very well balanced, with medium tannins, and a black fruit filled finish.
