Raspberry preserves, sour cherry, stewed fruit, baking spice and oak. Full-bodied and soft tannins.

Dark nose. Smoke, dark berries, hint of mineral, leather and bittersweet cocoa. Hint of dog chow as well. Smells nice but a hint of blockiness. Palate is ok. Kind of all over the place. Decent freshness. Let down from the nose. Good tannins but also heat. Decent fruit but dirty I think.

Aromatic and complex

Floral pastille, blackberry, boysenberry, chocolate cream, vanilla bean and coffee oak. Alcohol a touch noticeable here but otherwise a solid wine.

Lovely nose, fine tannins.

Dark burgundy in color, smell of cedar, tobacco, citrus, red fruit, acetate, and raspberry with round tannin and long finish.

Now THIS is an example of the Duoro table wines I've been reading about. Full, balanced, and complex but with finesse and clarity, it had lots of cranberries, cherries, sweet spice, and after 30 minutes open, revealed a super refreshing minerally finish. More, please.

Served a little warm and the alcohol a little spiked, but has dense dark fruit character and tobacco leaf and dirt. Just a gritty but interesting wine.
