Super value Douro blend

This is a beautiful blend of several local Douro varieties (and touring nacional playing only a supporting role) with lovely ripe black fruit aromas and plenty of black cherry on a long, well-balanced finish. Wonderfully eclectic wine.

Big robust cherry and herb on the nose. Great density in the glass. The palate is lots of earthy cherry/berry, integrated tannin with rustic structure. Opened 9/18/15

Nice Douro blend. 2012 vintage got 90 Pts on Wine Spectator. At 15 bucks that's a good value. Having a toast on my daughters 8th grade promotion. I rate this higher than the 2011. Opens up nicely with subtle tannins and layered fruit.

Deep rich but smoother than most from the Douro

Enjoyable Portuguese red with fruit, tannins, and licorice. At $14 impossible to pass up.

If I was starting from scratch, I'd be 5% toward the wine century club! While lacking a bit of fruit this shows study, mineral inflected ad maybe typical Douro 'baked' character. Tasty with mushrooms and a garlicky tahini dressed kale salad.

Really nice blend of Port varietals.

Respectable Douro for this price point. Cherries.
