Lusciously fruity and earthy at the same time. On the nose there are notes of black cherry and wet leaves/forest floor. Still more fresh black fruit on the palate, a little bit of vanilla incense and violets. Quite decent acidity with silky tannins and med + alcohol which is balanced nicely. Paired well for me with baked Provoleta cheese!

Vintage 2009 - great smell: rich and exuberant, vanilla and cedar. High acidity and velvety structure. Nizza is a great vineyard!

This opulent Barbera bursts with super-ripe aromas of stewed cherries, plums, mint and graphite. Crisp acidity and edgy salinity reinforce its bulky black fruit core, and tone down the oak-driven flavors of nutmeg and graphite. Overall, it shows acceptable balance while being totally over the top from an aromatic standpoint.
