Always trustworthy and becoming less oaky as time goes by.. 2015 is surprisingly silky and suave :) — 6 years ago
Exceptionally complex and refined, standing midway between Burgundy and Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc. This is a terrific white wine from Umbria. — 6 years ago
Barbera d' Alba 2016 - Giacomo Fenocchio. Vibrant and fleshy, with a deep mineral vein pushing forward its sweet aromas of gooseberry, mulberry, licorice and cocoa powder. Sharp acidity and terroir-driven salinity intertwine with mounting flavors of sweet red berries and blood orange. Finishes pure and lean despite the 15% abv . Awesome! — 6 years ago
2009 vintage was surprisingly mature and a bit too warm for my palate. Unpleasant aromas of tomato sauce and smoke raised from the glass after half an hour.. I believe this is already past its prime :( — 6 years ago
I am a big fan of Galatrona and Boggina, so this vintage of Torrione really broke my heart.. This wine boasts annoying reductive tones and astringent tannins that linger on a gritty finish.. It is so unbalanced that it is difficult to drink more than a glass. It left me truly disappointed. — 6 years ago

This opulent Barbera bursts with super-ripe aromas of stewed cherries, plums, mint and graphite. Crisp acidity and edgy salinity reinforce its bulky black fruit core, and tone down the oak-driven flavors of nutmeg and graphite. Overall, it shows acceptable balance while being totally over the top from an aromatic standpoint. — 6 years ago
