The wine opened tight but opened up within a matter of minutes. Jammy bouquet of black currant and plum, the wine showed good fruit, balanced tannins and a long, silky finish. The wine may have been near its peak, but it had plenty of fruit, suggesting it would drink well for another 10 years. A lovely Barolo!
