Rosa del Rosa Coste della Sesia Nebbiolo Rosé
Nice dark color, aromas tell you this is not a Saignée, but a purpose made Rose. Rose petals, white nectarine and slight white peppercorns on the nose. Strawberries, stone fruit with a long smooth mouth coating finish. Awesome sipping and great with food. This is one of the best Rose I’ve had. Winner! 85% Nebbiolo 15% Vespolina. WHW

Jul 22nd, 2022My goodness this is a delicious wine. Great fruit and laser-focused acidity, but has a depth and savory notes that keep you coming back for more. A new favorite rose...

Aug 24th, 2017Italian rosé to go with our entire meal. Fresh and fruity, dry like Provence and lots of minerality.

Silky textures tug at the cheeks as zesty acids settle in, then sooth through sweet liquid florals and ripe fruit. A blend of Nebbiolo and Vespolina. $19.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, August 2020)

1 person found it helpfulAug 3rd, 2020The 2019 Sperino Rosa del Rosa is stunning, opening to reveal depths of ripe peach and strawberry, with hints of cumin, ginger, dried orange, and roses. It floods the palate with silky textures, tugging at the cheeks as zesty acids settle in, then soothing through sweet liquid florals and ripe fruit. The finish is long, showing a hint of fine tannins, yet not austere; instead tactile, perfectly balanced with a hint of savory spice and just begging me to take another sip. This is a blend of Nebbiolo and Vespolina, which is gorgeous right now, but it may even get better with a little time in the cellar. Frankly, it was hard to put the glass down. Made with Nebbiolo and Vespolina, this outstanding Rosato strikes me as being one of Italy’s best, if not the best, Rosato wines of the 2017 vintage. Well done. (Ian D'Agata, Vinous, June 2018)
