Wonderful concentrated fruit character. Starts with ripe, dusty strawberry, cherry, a lifted profile framed tannins that are intense but much more approachable than what you’d find further south. Still hits a little high on the alcohol, it’s part of the package, but confirms how much I’m getting to like Alto Piemonte…unless prices climb up faster than quality — a month ago
