Grippy with good fruit and depth on the mid palate. Needs a bit of time to settle and soften, but great material here.

Sanguine, rust, basil, rosemary. Tart red cherry, fresh rose petal, and mint. High acidity, gripping elevated tannins, elevated body. Medium finish. Rougher tannins than Ovello 2014 and Asili 2014.

Started more closed and less aromatic than the Montestefano and the Barolo. But later in the night I thought it was richer and deeper

This is another great example of the potential of the Produttori wines. Youthful wine but also very approachable. I love the fine tannins and lavender flowery nose.

2014 vintage most developed vintage, elegant and ready to drink. Doesn’t get much better with bottle aging imo

Tannins started off relatively strong, but smoothed out over the course of 24 hours. Well rounded and deep, develops darker fruit notes over time with a decently long finish. A little wet and earthy.
