Surprised by how good this was. Not much experience with 1986, will never fully resolve the tannins, but beautiful fruit, secondary, wonderful Nebbiolo at this level.

Roasted a big pork shoulder and went back to ‘86. The fruit is still alive! Sour cherry, cranberry, with prunes under. A little animal and mushroom aging...long floral finish... finally decanted properly and was worth the trouble!
