This Chilean Cab has an earthy, rustic nose full of dark berries, leather and sage. The palate shows the blackberry up front and leaves an herbal trail along the lengthy finish. The tannins are firm, but not raspy and the acidity is vibrant enough to promote plenty of lip-smacking. Fans of Napa Cabs may not be wowed by this one, but if you like the Cabs of Paso Robles, you may find a friend in this bottle.

Was excited about this wine (received as bday present from parents in law) but ultimately let down. Maybe juts not for me but there was one strong flavor like chocolate I couldn’t place. Maybe too much oak or fruit. Felt kind of flat/flabby. Could have used more tannin and/or acidity. But I also like high acid and high tannic wines. Wouldn’t seek this one out but don’t let that stop you, it seems to be highly regarded in other online reviews.

Good wine for the price.
No too much body, but good good flavor.

Nose: plums, dark cherry, tea, blackberry, dust. Color a little light for cab - but smells more refined than the color would suggest. Tastes good - smooth, medium weight, not as silky I would like - but nice flavors of cigar and graphite and some spice and mildly bitter herbs (bay?). Doesn’t have the weight or mouthfeel I prefer, but the flavors are definitely above average. I like it! Good deal at $14.
