Apalta Colchagua Carménère

2022 vintage. Reduction,double decanting recommended. Better the next day actually. Spicy and fruity,simple.

Vegetal nose with young, ripe fruits on the palate. Heavy tar and tobacco without being HEAVY! Good buy! 👍🏻

This wine has a fragrant nose of cassis, blackberry and licorice. A hint of black pepper also comes through. On the palate a large serving of dark fruit hits first, with sweet oak spice and a savory note of earth. The tannins are easy enough on the mouthfeel, but firm enough to serve a purpose at the table. The savory aspect lingers on the generous finish.

Chilean red blend from Costco. Phil and I both enjoyed it. Medium bodied.

Nice wine. Full-bodied but smooth, with tannins not overbearing. Would work well with red meat.

Pairs well while sailing the seas of cheese. Licorice on the nose. Lush leather and dark fruits. Get some nice pepper notes throughout.

This is a big wine. High tannin, ripe black fruits, peppery, and oaky. It should be paired with heavy dish.
