A Costco bargain wine that I think is outstanding, especially on day two. Worth a try.

Inky ruby red, my first 100% Malbec I don't really taste much of any flavor notes

Tasted two weeks ago, too long ago for me to remember. So it wasn't awesome but it wasn't a stinker either. Remember thinking that it is not like old school rustic Cahors.

I agree with others it's better after decanting or the next day. I like it for the price.

Not bad, a cheap Malbec, I've had this before.

Dark ruby color, 100% Malbec. Inky, chocolatey, and under 10 dollars. A nice Cahors. A grapeyness and an earthiness almost resinous with piney notes, in a pleasant enough way. Take this little Cahors for a spin around the block.

Methinks 2016 was a good year for this #cahors Château. Inky purple color in the glass. Allow for an hour to open up and take the edge of the tannins; then the nose opens up with black bramble fruit, cassis, slight baking spices, vanilla, molasses and yet still that classic Cahors earth / mushrooms. On the palate it continues that dark fruit, medium pleasing acidity plus coffee finishing with some muscular tannins and a long finish. It might be a touch hot at 14.5% ABV, but not egregiously so. A Château-bottled red from the ancestral home of #malbec for $7 at Costco. Lamb chops or a porterhouse would be a stellar pairing.
