Pride Mountain Vineyards
Sonoma County Viognier
The 2019 Viognier is fabulous. In fact, it might be the best white at Pride. Varietal aromas and flavors are everywhere in this wonderfully expressive, generous Viognier. The 2019 is a rich wine with plenty of Viognier viscosity, but the flavors remain bright, making for a wine that balances everything Viognier has to offer in grand style. Tangerine oil, jasmine, ginger and passion fruit linger. This is such a pretty and alluring white. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, January 2021)

Jun 12th, 2020Fruitily and florally aromatic! Lovely! A wedding bouquet of lillies and gardenias, with white nectarine and soft apricot notes. Bright acidity and a lengthy finish. Dances around the glass and across the palate. Love!

Oct 18th, 2019Light and crisp with intoxicating aromas of acacia, gardenias, nectarines and orange blossoms. The palate is round and expressive with white peaches, dried apricots, white pepper and exotic spices. The high acid and reductive notes hold the finish longer than expected.

Jun 24th, 2018First winery on day three traveling from Sonoma to Napa Valley was Pride Mountain Vineyards with Paul. Second wine is Michelle Obama's favorite white wine, the Viognier. This bottling is made up of 100% Viognier and aged in 100% neutral French oak. Only 1,092 cases produced.
Light pale yellow with a slight greenish hue. Very aromatic and bright with tons of white floral elements, stone fruits, white peaches and a touch sweet. Crisp acidity (5.5/10) with a light plus body. Nice amount of minerality carrying throughout on the palate with some apricots, pears, chalk and sweet white grapes. Medium plus to long finish. Very easy going and easy to drink. Drink till 2022.
$$ - Tasted at the winery. Retail price is $45.00.

About as floral as a Cali vio can be. Pride is on the mtn separating Napa and Sonoma (literally the wine sits half in half out). Sour sunflowers. Chamomile, white peaches.
