I was motivated to pull this cork by Big Wes in FL. This is still a great wine with an initial taste of cassis and dark fruit with a little tar as it evolves. Another confinement day another attempt to make wine the cure!

Big, plush, lip-smacking, hedonistic. Not super complex but at 10 yrs old this has held up exceptionally well as a crowd pleaser on a snowy evening by the fire.

Incredible density and power, sweet fruit, and lushly textured tannins... Pride may not look sexy but this is pure hedonistic drinking pleasure! I love Sally Johnson’s wines and especially her Merlot. The Reserve Claret is a blend of 66% Merlot, 29% Cab, and 5% Petit Verdot which adds some floral lift.

Magnum time of Pride Reserve Claret from Larry. Opened up after 90 minutes! Jammy with loads of fruit. Black fruits galore. With the airtime, the tannin structure really allowed the Claret to express itself . Great Juice 93 in my book!
