Dark, opaque, deep ruby red and crimson. Clear. Heavy intensity in the color, compact rim, and no sediment. But this was a coravin with a 1.5 hr decant on the glass. Still a little tight, black cherry, anise and high intensity I could smell the cherries a few inches above the glass. Seems to have moderate to heavy toasting of the barrel, it is a little meaty on the palate and smokey. Moderate to full body with moderate plus tannins (7/10). A little dirty and sharp before the finish. Long lingering finish that needs some time to integrate. Life of the wine: could easily cellart for 5 to 10 years for development.

Guessing this is in its sweet spot. 15 years old and showing some maturity, but still youthful.

We've been laying this one down for years, and it paid off - wow, ensconced in hedonistic velvety black fruits and tannins. #EIV

Pairing very well with brisket. A lovely aged Cabernet that was a gift from a good friend. Does not disappoint Great tannins.

Very nice fruit flavors, not too harsh, and good body. Not truly exceptional but excellent body for the price. Vintage 2007
