If this is actually a $14 wine I'll soil myself. Polished and rustic at the same time. Dark, earthy sweet fruit and a sludge of soft tannins. Pasta wine extraordinaire.

Smooth, supple, dried oregano, woody, cherry, plum, and a hint of strawberry with just right combination of tart and sweet. Easily beats 95pct of the Chiantis I've had recently.

Deep purple color. A pronounced nose with rose petals, lavender, cherry, and pomegranate. Similar flavors, with additional notes of chocolate, somewhat salty, definitely the right match for a red sauce pizza. Great value.

This was an enjoyable blend. NOT Montepulciano, but from the region. I believe there's a bit of Merlot blended in (??)

Predominately Prugnolo Gentile (Sangiovese Subvarietal). Well structured and medium to full bodied. Dry. Blended with Merlot.
